Felt Flower Bouquet

Remember those rose buds that were hijacking my crafting this week?  Here they are, along with their new best friends!  Thanks to some inspiration plus a tutorial from Creative Jewish Mom, I was able to put this together for my mom’s birthday!   It will last much longer than roses from the florist!

Did you know that rose colors have meanings?  You should look them up before giving roses, in case the other person is aware of this!  The red and yellow combination is supposed to signify good feelings between people.  I thought it needed a bit of white too, to break it up a bit.

This was definitely a more time-consuming project than I had anticipated, but I was pleased with how it turned out.  It’s currently in a plain ceramic planter pot, and I’m not completely in love with that, so I’m going to see what I can to tomorrow to spruce it up a bit before I ship it!

Off to relish the feeling of a craft completed.  Even though it’s not perfect… 🙂
